We will begin the bi-monthly tornado siren testing this week. The tests will be done the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at approximately 12:10 p.m. If severe weather is present at the time of the scheduled test, the test will not take place. If anyone notices a siren is not working it should get reported to who ever is in charge of your City/Village Outdoor Warning System. If that person determines that the problem is not at the siren, please call me at 608-553-1481. Siren problems are almost always caused by an issue at the siren itself rather than a problem with the dispatch radio console but stranger things have happened. The first test of the year usually finds bad batteries at the siren site.
